Marius du Toit
Managing Director
Marius holds a BCom degree from the University of South Africa and an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Retirement Funds) from the University of the Free State. Prior to joining the Efficient Group in September 2017, Marius worked for two large financial services companies and headed up the employee benefits consulting division for the Southern Regions at Absa Consultants and Actuaries. He has 27 years’ experience in the retirement fund and group benefits industry, and consulted various large and medium sized retirement funds. Marius feels strongly about independence and playing a significant role in the reduction of costs of retirement funds to benefit members. Marius’ experience in this regard has enabled him to lead a competent team of specialists, to stand by clients and create smart retirement fund solutions with the interest of clients at its core.

Kobus Kunz
Head of Consulting
Kobus holds an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Retirement Funds) from the University of the Free State. He started his career in the retirement fund industry with Sanlam in 1983. In 1998 he joined Old Mutual Employee Benefits until joining Absa Consultants and Actuaries in 1990. He worked as a consultant at the Western Cape Region and moved to Bloemfontein in 1999 as Regional Manager: Employee Benefits, for the Central South African Region where he headed a team of employee benefit consultants. He has 34 years’ experience in the retirement fund and group benefits industries. Kobus feels strongly about providing independent advice to clients.

Benita Bodkin
Principal Consultant
Benita holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. She joined Efficient Benefit Consulting as Principal Consultant in our Bellville office, on 1 October 2017. She initially worked for two large pension funds and moved on to join a large financial services company in 2002. Prior to joining Efficient Benefit Consulting, she worked as a senior employee benefits consultant at Absa Consultants and Actuaries, consulting to small, medium and large retirement funds. She has 26 years’ experience in the retirement fund and group benefits industries. Benita takes great pride in her role as it enables her to ensure that retirement funds and its members, are left in a better place than where they started. She believes the industry has a great deal to improve in terms of client services and places great emphasis on treating customers fairly.
